What is the difference between Airsoft and Paintball?

There is a large difference between airsoft and paintball. Paintball is more of a “sport” while airsoft is a “hobby”. Also the ammo used is different as shown on the image below.

Also airsoft guns are replicas of real fire arms. Paintball guns on the other hand are usually not replicas. You can get 6mm paintballs for your airsoft gun BUT DON’T USE THEM THEY WILL JAM YOUR GUN!!!!!!! I personally don’t care too much for paintball. It’s to bad because paintball is incredibly popular in the U.S. In Japan airsoft is incredibly popular. Also the way the games are played is different. Airsoft you do military simulation while paint is usaually not.
