Tactics
Airsoft is fun when you use tactics. Airsoft is even more fun when you use the tactics correctly. You don’t have to get into all the special ops training and super advanced tactics. The main thing you should follow is the KISS principle. KISS stands for ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’. You won’t be very effective on the field if you have no clue what your doing. A basic, but affective maneuver, is the flanking maneuver. It’s as simple as having one team take the enemy head on and have another go to the enemy’s side or flank and fire on them at that position. The best way to do this is to follow the four F’s. Find, Fix, Flank, and Finish. The four F’s date back all the way to World War II and is a basic infantry maneuver.
Another thing you should be thinking about in the game is the current situation. For example: The enemy is heavily bunkered in a tree house and you and your team are pinned down behind a shed. There is a patch of trees to the right and heavy brush to the left. The best thing to do in this scenario is to get to the patch of trees since the heavy brush would be to hard to get through and you would get hacked down by a enemy AEG in seconds. Then surround the tree house and try to overwhelm the enemy.
So next time your on the field think about how you can engage the enemy, and stop thinking terminator because you’re not Arnold Schwarzenegger!
