Painting the Crosman Night Prowler
The Crosman Night Prowler is painted in a pretty ugly blue camo. So I decided to take a chance and paint the darn thing. First off I went to Wal-mart and got some Krylon Black camouflage spray paint for about 5 bucks. It claims to work on all surfaces like plastic, metal, etc. Supposedly it covers up to 25ft. I don’t know why it’s called camouflage because it is just black.
Step 1. Take a wet rag and wipe down the gun to get all the dirt and grime off of it.
Step 2. You don’t want to get paint in the barrel and other important parts, so take some painter’s tape and cover the end of the barrel and the place where the bbs come in from the scope/hopper thing.
Step 3. Put cardboard down where you’re going to paint. Give it a one light coat and let it dry for 15minutes. Then flip it over and do the same. It’s all pretty simple. The key is not put on a heavy coat.
Summery- This was a really easy project and came out very nice. I recommend the Krylon paint for this project. It dries in 15 minutes and is very easy to use. Plus you can get it at your local Wal-Mart.
Note- As far as I know, painting the orange cap is not illegal. Removing the orange cap is illegal not painting it. Although I highly recommend not painting it since I am not completely sure what the law is.
